Red Deer County (the “Owner”) is inviting all interested parties to submit tenders to load, haul and spread 20mm (3/4”) and 40 mm (1½”) crushed gravel on local roads designated by the County. Approximately 150,000 tonnes of 20 mm (3/4”) gravel and or 40 mm (1½”) gravel will be required to be loaded, hauled and spread annually from various stockpile and gravel pit sites located within the County. The successful Tenderer will be required to provide an adequate loader with scale to load the above-mentioned gravel.
Red Deer County reserves the right to negotiate extra work and or stockpiling of materials within various locations throughout the County with the successful bidder. The successful Tenderer shall also be eligible to receive additional gravel hauling, stockpiling or related work in various locations throughout the County directly from Red Deer County over the Term of the Agreement, as part of the award made under this Tender. Red Deer County reserves the right to negotiate the terms of such extra work with the successful Tenderer, provided that the County shall not be bound to award any such additional work to the Tenderer, in whole or in part.
